If you're looking to host a modded server, give us a try at. Im not a particularly technical person and has in the past had problems setting up modded servers on my PC. You can lower the view-distance and/or simulation-distance in your server.properties file so that fewer chunks will be ticking, taking off some strain on the CPU. I guess you could give it a shot and try it out to see if it lags or not. You can toss 12 GB of RAM for the server, but it will be a CPU issue over time. ![]() Another option if you can afford it is OVH but since youre looking for free stuff I doubt thats the route you want to take. ![]() The cheapest option I have found is titan nodes although if youll regularly need support and are from NA I wouldnt recommend them. I recommend a CPU with a minimum score of 2700, but higher is better. If you also would like to have more control over the hardware, choose a dedicated server (Hetzener) If you dont have too much experience with server hosting, and youre fine with spending some extra bucks to get a more user friendly service, i would suggest you a service like Apex Hosting, Shock byte, Hostinger or Sparked Host, and you should. If you want a real server you need to pay for it. According to the PassMark software, your CPU has a single-thread rating of 2115, which isn't so great for heavily modded servers.
